a ski suit lost....and now there's two....

Hello all!!!

Ok, so most of you who are close enough to me here know that I have been lamenting for some time over a lost ski suit. This has all culminated in one huge weekend of whinning about it...I'm sure I was more than annoying for my parents, CandyCane, and BP (well, we finally get into some friends names...you know who you are...and it probably doesn't matter if anyone else can figure it out...hehe). See, I have moved about a billion times since the last time I laid eyes on the thing so I just thought it was packed away in a box somewhere. But, now its crunch time and....I'm moving to Switzerland...they ski alot there apparently and....well, I kindof need it now...So my mom and I went though every box I have in my little apt and it was nowhere to be found. So now I'm in panic mode...accusing people of having it and tearing my parents house apart looking for it....wow....sorry about that..... Long story short I had loaned it to a friend almost two years ago. So, I will be reunited with my ski suit on Friday...glorious day....but, in the midst of all this whinning from me...my parents went out and bought me a new suit. So I went from having none to two....yay!!! I'm ready for the slopes...

On a different note...paperwork is horrible. I guess I didn't realize how much would go into this whole move. But, I've now received my work permit, so that's good. I'm still waiting on my visa. So basically I'm legal to work in Switzerland but not to live there yet....I'll keep you all posted on the progress....hehe...get it?!?! POSTED!!!

Ok, enough of that for now. I have to go....I'll post again soon.

My first post....

Wow, I never thought of all the people in the world that I would ever have a blog....but, I just set this up today so that everyone can have some idea of what my life will be like in Switzerland. Yep, that's right...I'm moving to Switzerland!! I have just a few more weeks now and I will make the great journey across the Atlantic....

Now, I've contemplated for a while how I want to set this up. I'm still not sure how detailed I will get for privacy sake in this blog but I think that it will be fun for me to share with my friends and family and it will be fun for you in turn to read about what's happening in my life.

So, I've taken this job living with a family in Switzerland and being an au pair for their kids. We'll call them the Robinson's (Robinson's...get it??!!...that's of course not their real name....I don't think I should give that out on the world wide web...). They seem great and I can't wait to meet them for the first time. As of right now, my big concern is getting my plane ticket and selling the major items to fund this trip.

Well, I guess I have to run for now. I just sat down for a minute and it's turned into a few more than I had expected....
